Welcome to the exciting world of ghyll scrambling at Honister Gorge, a perfect outdoor adventure for families with young children. If you're looking for a gentle introduction to this thrilling activity, Honister Ghyll is the ideal choice.
During this adventure, you'll embark on a picturesque uphill scramble, where you'll have the opportunity to rock hop and navigate through crystal clear pools of water, all while keeping relatively dry above the knee. The route is carefully designed to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for children and families, ensuring everyone can participate and have a fantastic time.
We believe in tailoring the experience to meet your desires and add an extra element of excitement. Along the way, we can incorporate additional challenges such as steeper scrambles, thrilling jumps, invigorating pool swims, and even a tunnel crawl. These optional challenges can be adjusted to suit the abilities and preferences of your group, making it a perfect opportunity for team building and creating lasting memories together.
We understand that each group may have individuals with varying abilities. If you let us know in advance, we can make special arrangements to accommodate a wide mix of abilities. This can include short roped climbs up a series of waterfalls and an ascent of the steep walled section at the top, ensuring that everyone feels included and can fully enjoy the adventure.
Honister Ghyll provides not only an exciting outdoor experience but also a beautiful natural setting that will leave you in awe. The stunning surroundings and the thrill of exploring the gorge will captivate the imaginations of both children and adults alike.
